The Calendar Girls of 2012!
Congrats to the top 12 girls! Voting was active for a couple weeks with the polls closing Thursday night at 11:59pm. We had the site get bombarded with traffic a few minutes before the deadline, and that unfortunately crashed our server. Luckily the votes were not lost and the top 12 girls have been chosen.
1st place honors go to the very attractive Tehmeena pictured above. She topped the charts at 1,117 votes!
Second place goes to Brittany from Lindenhurst. She too had over 1,000 votes, ending with 1,040.
Kelly from Long Island rounded out the top three with 959 votes.
Andrea was one of the first girls to show interest in the Calendar and brought in 925 votes. A Queens girl who can be seen at Citi Field at least once per home stand. 4th place.
5th place goes to Danielle from Jersey, wearing a jersey. She loves David Wright and racked up 844 votes.
Lauren Rose was also showing off her colors. 826 votes to get in the top 6.
7th place honors go to Jacqueline from Clifton. 767 votes.
Lauren from Long Island was very determined to get in this calendar. She promoted the voting to her friends and family through Facebook and did a great job. Plus, who wouldn’t vote for a girl who wants to pick Mr. Met as her favorite player? 753 votes gave her 8th place.
Apryl from Jersey made a last minute jump into 9th place with 742 votes. Showing some roots by picking the Straw Man as her all time favorite player but of course picked David Wright as her current fave! The only red head in the bunch. I heard Justin Turner already has a crush.
Rose Ann wasn’t sure she wanted to enter at first, but lucky for us her cousin Lauren Rose (6th place.) did a little convincing. Racking up 741 votes gave her 10th place.
Erika was a contender from the start. It must be tough being a Met fan from the Bronx. That alone should have given her some extra credit. 726 votes and 11th place.
Lucky number 12 goes to Deana. She promoted the crap out of this calendar and earned her spot. The “girl in the tutu” brought in 723 votes.
HONORABLE MENTION!
Roseann landed in 13th place just 9 votes behind Deana. She set up a Twitter account to promote her campaign and even got a mention in the NY Daily News. Thanks for promoting! If by any chance a girl backs out or can not make her shoot we will gladly give you her spot.
Just 44 votes were the difference between 7th and 12th! It was a tight race down to the wire and I hope all you fans enjoyed the voting process. I would have never been able to pick 12 out of the 33 submitted girls, but I can say with 100% conviction, this calendar will be talked about for years to come! Truely a must for any Mets fan!
More will be posted soon as we plan the shoots and the girls pick their months. The calendars will be out just in time for the holiday season.
