Ep 39: The home season is over, and we're relieved. Mets talk and whatever.
Beers, baseball and fans phone calls. Hanging out and saying cheers to the end of the season.
A big donation from T7LA for Puerto Rico, "Flag Gate" occurred at Citi Field, charity softball event this coming Saturday in Brooklyn, TC and Warthen are on their way out, and we play "What's In The Box?!" with a live caller.
OABT is co-hosted by Darren Meenan and Brian Erni and we're a pretty visual show. Try to catch the live episode next week at 6pm on Facebook.com/The7Line. An "Orange and Blue Thing" is something that Mets fans can relate to, so that's what we talk about. The comments section turns in to a live chat room, and the fan engagement is super cool to see. Join us next week.
We also post the audio after the live broadcast, so if you're more of a listener, check us out on iTunes. Subscribe to the podcastHEREand make sure to leave a review. 5 stars if you think we're worth it.
The Mets announced that they're creating a tenured system for their season ticket holders, and a lot of fans are pretty upset about it. Even after this disappointing season, some prices are going up, while some special perks (like Opening Day tickets and postseason strips), are going away for select plans.
We're back from Minnesota after hanging an L on T7LA's calendar. An unnamed Mets staffer said to Darren in Starbucks after the game "hope you had a good time before we shit the bed". We're borrowing a segment from SNY's Off Day Live show and Joe DeMayo joins us. Plus, who snubbed Darren for a selfie at the airport?
Pete Alonso, who isn't toxic, hit his 40th and 41st home run of the season. Lindor, who doesn't get enough credit, hit his 25th home run and stole his 25th base. Ronnie Mauricio, who is finally in the Bigs, went 5-11 in his first series. We're hitting Minnesota this Saturday with 700 die hard Mets fans.
