I'm sure you've heard by now, but the Mets AAA affiliate is moving from Buffalo to Las Vegas in 2013.
Let me start off by saying I think this is a terrible idea as far as baseball is concerned, but for a fun destination to take in baseball while gambling and partying this news couldn't make some people any happier. Buffalo wasn't exactly on top of most people's must visit destination lists.
Sin City will without a doubt be on my agenda next summer. I'll be planning a group trip from NY to Vegas this off season and I hope you'll join us. We'll pick some dates and work out a package with a travel agency. Flight and hotel will be included and I'll arrange for shuttle transportation to and from the airport in Vegas.
I've been to Vegas a few times already and it was always a blast. Toss some baseball games in the mix with a bunch of Mets fans and I can't picture the trip will be easy to top. Hopefully you West Coast folk will join us as well. Obviously you'll plan your own travel arrangements but if we're all there during the same dates it will be amazing.
I heard a rumor that the big team might be flying out there to officially open up the season with an exibition. If that's the case we'll make sure to plan the trip during that time.
More details when the time comes. VEGAS!!!!!
