Former Mets outfielder Curtis Granderson will not get his moment. The Dodgers chose not to include Granderson on the World Series roster, and as a fierce Grandy lover, I'm furious. But I’m also thrilled as a sports fan.
Curtis Granderson is NOT on the #Dodgers' World Series roster. Brandon McCarthy is. He hasn't pitched since Oct. 1.

Watching sports, especially on a stage as big as the World Series, is a lot less fun when you don’t have a dog in the fight. But the Dodgers have pushed me over the edge. The one-two punch of dropping Granderson and having Chase Utley officially punched my ticket on the Houston Astros bandwagon.
Dave Roberts says Curtis Granderson was "obviously disappointed, but still supportive" of Dodgers after being left off World Series roster.

The Astros already did me a solid. If, like me, you’re the kind of Mets fan who hates the Yankees almost as much as you love the Mets, then you fell in love with the Astros in the ALCS. Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, and Justin Verlander delivered time and time again, crushing the hearts and World Series dreams of Yankees fans everywhere in the process. When your team finished with only 70 wins, it's as sweet as postseason baseball gets.
Do I want to watch the camera flash to Kate Upton every 20 seconds when Verlander is on the mound? No, not really. My mirror is enough of a reminder that I’m putting on my winter weight, I don’t need the directors imparting their thin-spiration on me. But do I want to want to watch her fiancé make Chase Utley look absolutely LOST up at the plate? YOU BETCHYA!
And is there anyone in the league right now more lovable than Altuve? The guy wears his heart on his sleeve, gives 100 percent on every defensive play,, and he’s an absolute PLEASURE to watch in a post-game interview. It is practically impossible not to root for him.
No way I'm rooting for the Dodgers now that granderson isn't on WS roster. LETS GO ASTROS!

So with the Dodgers giving me no reason to root for them (Ruben forever!), the answer is clear. Only time will tell the outcome, but from tonight at 8:08 until the final out of the series, this girl is #HoustonStrong.
Your eyes do not deceive you, we don't have any available Mets 2024 Postseason merch. It's not that we don't have designs ready to go, we just aren't allowed to release them for another 2 weeks. Fanatics gets an exclusive 2 week window on licensed merch.
