Fox Sports’ ass is about to be in the jackpot. That’s right, former Mets manager and current special assistant to the Mets GM Terry Collins will make his debut as a studio analyst on Thursday, May 2nd when he joins Kevin Burkhardt and Frank “Big Hurt” Thomas on FS1’s “MLB Whiparound”. According to Bob Raissman of the NY Daily News, this will be the first of a few select TV appearances that Terry has signed on to make with Fox Sports this season:

We all remember the last time Terry made headlines. He was giving umpire Tom Hallion a piece of his mind in the now infamous video of Noah Syndergaard getting ejected for throwing behind Chase Utley. Terry helped the video go viral throughout the baseball community, delivering an epic, profanity-laced tirade that provided a bizarre, yet refreshing look under the hood of manager-umpire interactions. Fox should only hope to get this version of our former skipper:
Terry has always been must-see TV, so Fox did well here. In addition to the aforementioned video, he was always brutally honest with the media, he routinely got fired up in post-game press conferences, and he knew how to celebrate with the fans:
It’s great to see Terry stay involved with the sport and I wish him luck on his new TV gig.
We'll be spending Opening Weekend in Houston! Hopefully you'll be one of the 1,300 Mets fans kicking the season off with us in Texas! The Astros didn't have enough availability to fit us for Opening Day, so we locked up 1,300 tickets to game 2 of the season on March 29th.
