The final four home games of the season are upon us. A double dip today, followed by night games on Tuesday and Wednesday. We know a lot of you are hitting the park this week to bid farewell before, what's sure to feel like, a long winter.
We had planned to host a food drive in McFadden's before our outing on Wednesday night, but due to the recent events unfolding in Puerto Rico, the Mets are hosting one of their own. It makes much more sense to join forces with the team on this, and we hope everyone cheering with us on Wednesday can help out.
A collection point will be set up outside the Bullpen Gate, which is just steps from the bar. Please stop with what you can before our pre-game party.
Mets bullpen coach, Ricky Bones, was emotional speaking about devastation in Puerto Rico. He has been unable to contact much of his family.

The New York Mets are partnering with New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo on the Empire State Relief & Recovery Effort for Puerto Rico. Citi Field will serve as a strategic location for Mets fans and all New Yorkers to drop off much needed supplies that will be sent to help the people of Puerto Rico recover and rebuild following the widespread devastation from Hurricane Maria.
The Mets are encouraging fans attending the September 25, 26 and 27 games at Citi Field to bring donations. There will be collection points set up outside the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, Left Field Gate and Bullpen Gate. Donations will be accepted between the hours of 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Thursday and Friday, September 28-29, the Mets will accept donations between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. outside the Jackie Robinson Rotunda. Fans driving to the ballpark can enter via the Official Lot G on 126th street and proceed straight to the fire lane in front of the Rotunda. Mets staff will be on hand to unload items from vehicles.
Requested items to help the people of Puerto Rico include:
All items must be completely unopened and packaged. Only items listed above will be accepted.
Alliance Building Services and Budweiser are among the Mets partners who have already pledged to support the drive.
