We don't hit games for photos in newspapers, mentions on the broadcast, or shout outs from the team themselves, but every time it happens, it's pretty damn cool for members of The 7 Line Army.
A simple idea that started from printing a few t-shirts in my parents basement, grew in to a force over the last 10 seasons. The pulse of which flows through thousands of Mets fans all around the globe.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the first guy to ever name drop the crew was Bobby Parnell after the Mets earned their first ever Subway Series sweep over the Yankees in 2013. If you remember they played 2 games at each ballpark back to back for a couple years. This was on SNY after the first Bronx Invasion (RIP), and KB asked Bobby about the atmosphere:
I remember losing my shit after hearing this. An actual Mets player was talking about the crew during the live postgame interview. Pinch me.
The latest to send a little love T7LA's way was our skipper, Mickey Callaway. Mickey, Brodie Van Wagenen, and Jeff Wilpon were in studio guests of Mike Francesa on Wednesday at WFAN. I admittedly missed the entire 1:30+ segment, but my texts and mentions lit up like Christmas after this moment:
Mickey giving love to @The7LineArmy on @MikeFrancesa today. Says talk is cheap, and Mets fans deserve a winner. #LGM2019 pic.twitter.com/dtampJo25E

Mickey is right. Talk is cheap. Mets fans do deserve a winner, but most of that is out of his control. As we all know, the manager has to play the hand he's dealt. If the cards don't stack up, that's not on him.
Jeff and co. on the other hand need to let BVW attack the market. The time is now to capitalize on this window and make it happen. A few big pieces can turn this roster into a legit contender, and it's about time for a parade.
Anyway, thanks for the shout, Mickey! No matter how many times it happens, it never gets old.
LGM 2019!
We'll be spending Opening Weekend in Houston! Hopefully you'll be one of the 1,300 Mets fans kicking the season off with us in Texas! The Astros didn't have enough availability to fit us for Opening Day, so we locked up 1,300 tickets to game 2 of the season on March 29th.
