The above photo was from Opening Day 2015. Not sure what Shoe is pointing to, but the Mets won -- as they do more than any other team on OD -- and we were off to one hell of a fun season. Hopefully 2018 has something similar in store for us.
The first real cold day of the fall gets me craving the start of a new 162. The World Series wrapped up about a week ago, and it's close to 30 degrees on Long Island today. The days drag this time of year. And the hot stove doesn't kick in for another month or so.
It's getting dark at, like...4:00 PM, everyone is getting sick, shoveling snow (as always) is going to be miserable, and department stores are playing Christmas music on November 1st. I'm no grinch, but gimme a break with that shit. It gets earlier and earlier each year.
All a long way of saying, I'm sure the majority of us wouldn't mind a Delorean ride to March 29th.
We hope you'll join us for the 2nd annual T7L7K! The inaugural event far exceeded our expectations and we know 2025 will be even greater. Run (or walk) with us through Flushing Meadows Corona Park, up to the Shea Stadium base paths, and back.
