I'm still fired up about this photo from our outing down in Port St. Lucie on Saturday at First Data Field.
I missed an e-mail letting me know that Mickey wanted to come out to the berm prior to the game. Luckily I was close enough to see a commotion milling, and hopped myself over there for a quick photo. Shout to Mets team photographer Marc Levine for snapping it. If you don't already, you should definitely give him a follow (@msimages) on IG. Odds are he shot some of your favorite Mets photos.
Not sure something like this has ever been done. If it has, I've never seen it. A manager leaving the field and entering the stands to hang with the fans prior to a game? Can't get more up close and personal than that. Quite the surprise.Â
Prior to today’s game, Mickey Callaway made a trip out to the berm to say hello to some #Mets fans and @The7Line. pic.twitter.com/D0pDhCAO6u

Mickey spent at least 10 minutes signing autographs, taking selfies, chatting it up with fans; just basically going the extra mile. Just like when he joined Brian and me on Orange and Blue Thing in early January, he doesn't have to do any of this, and could just let his managing do the talking. It's certainly a new era, and Mickey is going above and beyond with the fan base.Â
Sorry Skip, 650 was a bit high. The total did tip the scales at just over 400 though. Next year...Â
650 buckets. Challenge accepted Mick. Hope they have enough in stock @The7Line pic.twitter.com/ItBo1ImuCe

We hope you'll join us for the 2nd annual T7L7K! The inaugural event far exceeded our expectations and we know 2025 will be even greater. Run (or walk) with us through Flushing Meadows Corona Park, up to the Shea Stadium base paths, and back.Â
