I've been playing virtual bingo through Zoom on most Tuesday and Friday nights through a company called LI Kick. They're an adult social sports community on Long Island that usually organizes kickball, volleyball, bowling, cornhole, and soccer leagues year-round. I've been on one of their bowling teams the last couple winters (2x champs!) with a few other T7LA members, and I know some others in our group have also taken part in their other activities.
They've also been hosting private bingo games for organizations and individuals looking for a good time. We recently hired them for my wife's birthday, and it got us thinking about how we can make this work specifically for our crew. We tossed ideas back and forth, and T7L Baseball Bingo will kick off on Monday June 8th at 8pm!
Their usual bingo prizes are gift cards to local businesses on Long Island, but in our case that doesn't necessarily work out. They decided to host these special games for us, and in turn they'll be giving away $300 worth of T7L gift cards to the winners.
It's such a fun time. You might be thinking traditional bingo itself could be boring, but they mix in trivia, name that tune, scavenger hunts, polls, drinking socials, kiss cam, dance offs, and random hi-jinx in between it all. They pick random #'s like traditional bingo (so don't be intimidated by the trivia portion), but you do get to pick the next # pulled if you win the bonus portions of the game. It's pretty hilarious, and a good way for us to have some fun together.
It's all done through Zoom, and we imagine the room will fill up pretty quick. It's $10 per card to play (each card will be for the 5 bingo games that night), and you are allowed to purchase up to 3 cards. You can get 3 for yourself to better your odds, or purchase 3 to play with 3 other people at your home. Whatever you want. They'll email you the access link to the Zoom room along with your card(s) to play.
If you end up missing out, aren't interested, or just busy that night, this is likely something we'll do every Monday night until things get back to normal.
We hope you'll join us for the 2nd annual T7L7K! The inaugural event far exceeded our expectations and we know 2025 will be even greater. Run (or walk) with us through Flushing Meadows Corona Park, up to the Shea Stadium base paths, and back.
