THE 7 LINE'S 2018 BAYSIDE LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM
It's Little League season, and our 2018 team is looking primed and ready for a fun year in Bayside, Queens. This is my third year sponsoring a team, and the kids are looking quite spiffy decked out in their orange and blue.
Back in the day, I used to love checking out plaques hanging up at my local pizzerias with the photos of their teams. When the opportunity came up in 2016 to rep one of my own, I had to jump at it.
Ends up this year we have a little extra connection to the team. Jonathan Reid, who is a season ticket holder with The 7 Line Army, is coaching our squad. His son Jonathan Jr. is on the team, along with 13 other boys and girls from the neighborhood.
We've talked about it a few times, but haven't had the chance to organize a day where we encourage The 7 Line Army to go cheer for our squad. We should try to do that this year. All of their games are played on Sundays at Crocheron Park in Bayside.
Good luck, team! We'll try to pick a date to get out there to cheer you on.
