OABT S3 E6: OPENING DAY IS FINALLY HERE! Ron Darling joins the show.

At least for today, all is right in the Mets world. Opening Day is upon us, Pete Alonso made the roster, Jacob deGrom got his extension, spirits are high, and baseball is finally here! Pete McCarthy and Darren Meenan chatting about all things Mets from T7LHQ, and take a few live calls.

Plus, a special taped segment with Ron Darling from his home in Connecticut. A very laid back conversation between Ron and Darren about the current state of the Mets, his thoughts about the upcoming season, and a few great stories. Plus, he answers some questions from Twitter, and we chat about his new book "108 Stitches", available April 2nd wherever books are sold.

Check back each week for a new episode throughout the baseball season. We stream on FB Live and Periscope/Twitter, and post afterwards as a podcast. For now check out the replay. If you're feeling it, share with your friends, subscribe to the podcast, and rate/review.

Shout out to our friends at Mikkeller NYC for the tasty beers. They're located at Citi Field, and open year round. Check them out the next time you're in Flushing. An "Orange and Blue Thing" is something that Mets fans can relate to, so that's what we talk about. The comments section during the live stream turns in to a chat room, and the fan engagement is cool to see.

OABT S5 E23: 86 CONSECUTIVE DAYS IN FIRST, BUT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT

August is here, and it's going to be a do or die month for the Mets. They've been all alone on the NL East's top step for 86 consecutive days, but it surely doesn't feel like it. The Mets were back in black on Friday, inducted 3 new members in to their HOF on Saturday, and lost the weekend series on Sunday. Baez is now a Met, but with another deGrom setback did the team really do enough before the deadline to set them up for the rest of the year? The Kumar Rocker draft deal fell through. Is this same old Mets or just bad luck?

Pete Alonso is LOCKED IN, and seems to have traded Donnie Stevenson for a dugout pony. Speaking of trades, the deadline is Friday. Who will the Mets land? SNY's Joe DeMayo checks in with the latest rumors. The Mets are inducting Matlack, Darling, and Alfonzo in to their HOF this weekend, but nobody seems to know about it. Word is the Mets are making changes to step up for their minor leaguers, Julia got pooped on by a bird while dog walking, Johnny Stranger took his love to the Long Island Expressway to win back Courtney, and more from T7LHQ with Darren and Julia.
