24 things we're just as confident in as a Jeurys Familia save in 2018

Jeurys Familia has four blown saves in 17 chances this season. In other words, he’s failed to shut the door roughly 25 percent of the time. That’s simply unacceptable.

At this point, I have no confidence whatsoever when Familia enters a game, which puts him in the company of countless closers from the past that fans watched with one eye open. 

Here is a list of things I have more confidence in happening than Familia converting a save:

1. Lucy not pulling the football away from Charlie Brown

2. Skip Bayless making a reasonable point

3. Proving that Earth is flat

4. Spotting Big Foot

5. Tom Brady aging

6. Finding the Big Bang Theory funny

7. Omar Minaya returning to the Mets. Wait, what?!?

8. A statue of Tom Seaver being built at Citi Field

9. Fully understanding Lost

10. Phil Mickelson winning a U.S. Open

11. Watching just one episode of The Office

12. Stephen A. Smith speaking at a normal volume

13. Steven Matz making 30 starts in a season

14. Facebook not stealing my identity

15. Getting clarity on The Sopranos finale

16. America uniting around a singular presidential candidate

17. Weathermen accurately predicting a snowstorm

18. Mike Francesa retiring

19. Understanding bitcoin

20. Grasping how the healthcare system works

21. The Jets winning the Super Bowl

22. Charles Oakley night at MSG

23. Sean Hannity, Rachel Maddow, Rush Limbaugh, and Don Lemon having dinner together

24. The Nationals winning a playoff series.
