Jeff McNeil is for real. It took 6 years of time in the minors to get his call, but in just under 100 games, all signs point to the dude being as legit as they come. He's eating up 4-hit games like candy, and is already a fan favorite in Queens.

-Reached base safely in 25 of his 26 starts this season, and in 71 of his 79 career starts

-Thirty-three career multi-hit games

-Eleven games of three or more hits

We just whipped up custom T7L jackets for some of the Mets players wives and girlfriends, and Tatiana McNeil happens to be one of them. I saw this photo on her IG, and the caption really struck me. The leading ladies are a gigantic part of any team. 

 

"This still feels like a dream, probably, in part, because it is a dream. A dream we've worked 6 long years for but seeing you on that field makes 6 years of weekend trips and "I'll see you soon"s, of high highs and low lows, of constant determination and persistence and passion so worth it because baby, you were made to be on that field! This is what dreeeeams are made of!"

As a married man with a little one, a lot of what I've accomplished is due in large part to my wife. She picks up the slack when I am doing this or that for T7L. It's pretty apparent that the same goes for players coming up through the system, but this instance just seems a bit different to me.

The minor league ladder is hard to climb, not only for the player, but their ladies. It was a 6 year grind for the McNeil's, but they're here.

Their dream came true.
