Just got back from Port Saint Lucie after another fun weekend with The 7 Line Army. We kicked the season off on Friday night at Hop Life Brewing Company and Brodie Van Wagenen stopped by to be my first OABT guest of 2019.
I picked up some new supplies over the offseason for this very reason. Not to just chat with Brodie, but to add a new element to our shows. Everything I need fits in a backpack, so setting up times to meet with guests will be much more flexible. Not that Long Island is the end of the world, but having guests find time to make the trek to our warehouse has been pretty challenging. Now, I can go to them, or we can meet up somewhere that works. Should be fun.
I caught up with Brodie on the phone a couple weeks ago when he made the decision to join T7LA for the Subway Series this summer, but this was our first sit down. We chat about a variety of topics like his Cespedes expectations, a potential Tom Seaver statue, his social media presence, trading Kelenic, the Mets bullpen cart, David Wright's new role with the organization, and a few questions from twitter.
Catch the Brodie segment on Orange And Blue Thing this Wednesday 2/27 at NOON ET. It's an early show this week for a variety of reasons, but after this one we should be somewhat back to normal.
Watch on either FB Live or Periscope/Twitter, and make sure you remember to share the show to be in the running for free stuff. If you can't watch the live stream, you can always catch the replays on OrangeAndBlueThing.com or download the podcast.
Cheers!
We're checking off the Southside with The 7 Line Army on Saturday August 31st at Guaranteed Rate Field. Let’s get some miles in to start our day, then sightsee or do whatever else you have planned before the Mets/T7LA pre-game party.
