FINALLY, the Mets are returning back to New York City…Thursday for Opening Day!
See you soon NY.....I’m ready breathe in that New York City air again. pic.twitter.com/EAuRPannlz

As you can see, Noah Syndergaard took to Twitter to express his excitement level, and used a GIF of Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, to tie it all together.
This pumps me up. The Mets will always be my first love. That’s my “Day 1,” as the kids say these days. But wrestling isn’t far behind. I was hooked at an early age, obsessed during my early teenage years, and still follow the WWE today. Needless to say, Noah struck lightning in my heart with this tweet.
Little did I know business was going to pick up, because just a few hours later when the jabroni beating, pie eating, trail blazing, eyebrow raising, take your foot off the brake and step on the gas, always ready to whoop some ass, people's champ, THE ROCK, fired back a tweet of his own to his millions (AND MILLIONS) of followers.
NY welcomes you back Thor. I’ve torn a lot of muscles and tendons over the years so you tearing your LAT is savage mode. And don’t take any shit from @MrMet. He’s to you, what Kevin Hart is to me. Just smile and slap him into next week. https://t.co/NxkuioYtHT

I know the Mets revamped the training staff this season but there has to be room to add The Rock as a consultant, right? I don’t need anyone going rep-for-rep with The Great One (please don’t, Noah), but Rocky has been known to give some impressive inspirational speeches. The most electrifying man in sports entertainment would be the perfect candidate to get the boys in orange-and-blue jacked up all season long.
Plus, he even gets our jokes. Johnson re-ignited one of the great feuds of our time: Syndergaard and Mr. Met.
😮 @TheRock those are pretty big words from the star of the Tooth Fairy. Big man didn't even @ my buddy @KevinHart4real. #YouGoneLearnToday #DoYouSmellWhatImCooking!? pic.twitter.com/JThqxbFaeO

What’s your name?@MrMet .......IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!! Know your role and shut your damn mouth! @TheRock https://t.co/AeSjrS8prl

Amazin'! Let me be the first to welcome you to The 7 Line Army, Rock!
We'll be spending Opening Weekend in Houston! Hopefully you'll be one of the 1,300 Mets fans kicking the season off with us in Texas! The Astros didn't have enough availability to fit us for Opening Day, so we locked up 1,300 tickets to game 2 of the season on March 29th.
