Final tailgate party of the season this Saturday

Final tailgate party of the season this Saturday

Get to the ballpark this Saturday 9/23 to hang before heading in for the game against the Braves.

This is our 13th home game of the year (7-5) and last that we'll be tailgating for. The final home game of the year is next Wednesday and we'll be pre/post-gaming in McFaddens. That's gonna be a wild one.

When this season started to take a dump, "undefeated at tailgating" was a term that came to life. There's not much we can do about the wins and losses, but we can do something about the fun. And that's what we try to do each and every ballgame.

If you're new to the group you're highly encouraged to hit the tailgate party. DIVE RIGHT IN. Introduce yourself and get the camaraderie started before we even get to the seats. This will be your last chance to soak it all in before we start fresh in '18, but it's never too late to start.

We'll get there around 4pm. (GAME IS AT 7:10), so try to be early to make sure you get in to secure a spot.

We'll be set up at our normal spot just past the train station boardwalk. The MTA "Southfield Lot" is located on Roosevelt Avenue just next to the steps to the 7 train. Great location with plenty of room. Check the below map if you're not in the know.

Our season ticket members will be rocking their 2017 jerseys. If you're joining us just for the day,  we ask that you wear orange. We know not everyone was able to pick up the jersey separately, just wear your favorite orange Mets gear. Some jerseys are still available at our kiosk behind the seats in center field in limited sizes.

Even if you're not sitting with us, you're welcome to come by. More the merrier, so tell your friends. You're encouraged to bring your own grills, drinks, snacks... but make sure you CLEAN UP after yourselves. Nobody likes a mooch, so please don't go rummaging through anyones coolers that don't belong to you. If you're feeling generous and you'd like to share, that's totally your call. Come prepared.

Even if you're shy, try to say hi. We're all friendly.

The game is at 7:10pm so prepare to head in around 6:30pm so we're settled in our seats in time for the and National Anthem.

LET'S GO METS!

Thank you, Mets fans!
Thank you, Mets fans!

Despite the ending, I had such a fun season. Thanks for being a part of it with me either at Citi Field, on the road, or at the Playwright. I met so many new fans this year. Not new to the Mets, but new to hanging with T7LA. It was a great time. Every game new faces would show up, and that's always encouraged. I know it's tough for some people to throw themselves in to a new situation, but I promise we don't bite. One of my favorite things about The 7 Line Army is watching strong friendships form from it.

We'll be tailgating in our usual spot in the Marina Lot before all home Postseason games! Fans should be rolling in at least 4 hours before first pitch. BE THERE! As always, you don't need to be sitting with The 7 Line Army to tailgate together.
