David Wright isn't the only loss for Mets fans after the 2018 season. It came out this weekend that the radio booth will be without Josh Lewin going forward.
Early reports claimed this was a WFAN / Mark Chernoff / Mets decision, that had Mets fans, myself included, understandably pissed off.
Josh told the NY Post that this was not the case.
“Earlier this week, I removed myself from consideration as part of the Mets’ radio team,” Lewin told The Post. “Instead I will be accepting an offer away from New York, with details coming as soon as the contracts get signed.”
Hey guys, I understand there's a report out there about my leaving the Mets. Can't tell you details yet because my contract isn't signed yet, but i will indeed announce an exciting new opportunity for me and my family soon. It's all good, I promise. Thanks much

While this stinks, you can't knock the guy for doing what's right for his career and family. I'm looking forward to see where he ends up.
I loved Josh in the booth. He gelled great with Howie, and it was extra special to me that it wasn't just a job for him. Like Howie, Josh grew up a Mets fan, and genuinely loves the team. Fans connect with that stuff, and listening to the broadcast was always a treat.
I also gotta thank Josh for being as cool as he was with The 7 Line Army. He'd take time out of his day, when the schedule allowed, to swing by our tailgate parties, drop off pre-game notes, come on Orange and Blue Thing, etc.
All the best Josh! I'll save a seat for you any time you wanna come cheer on our favorite team together.
Tailgate with us on Saturday July 5th! You don't need to be sitting with The 7 Line Army to tailgate together. Let's get the good vibes started in the parking lot and hopefully they continue until last pitch. Food, drinks, games, music and more in the Marina Lot.
Swing by the K Korner on Monday June 23rd before the Mets take on the Braves. If you're sitting with us or not, you can enjoy exclusive specials on Montauk draft beers by rocking any of your T7L merch to the bar.
Join us for a fun run (or walk) 5K the morning of The 7 Line Army outing in Pittsburgh. If you’re not feeling the whole route, just cut it short and head back to the ballpark. All paces, and distances welcome.
