In what looked to be pretty minor at the time, ended up being a big deal. Because, of course. Right? It's always something in Queens, so why should this case be any different. I'd say unbelievable, but c'mon. I'm not surprised. You probably aren't either.
There has been plenty of chances for the gold glover to injure himself pretty badly over the years. Crazy that this is the one that did him in.

Los últimos tres años han sido un dolor de cabeza para Lagares a causa de las lesiones. Podría estar listo para #LIDOM y @aguilascibaenas.#MLB pic.twitter.com/SZf16GWugL
Wait. That's it? This is a season ending collision? Almost doesn't seem possible. But alas, here we are.

Like a lot of Mets fans out there, I was really pulling for Juan this year. He came in to camp looking healthy down in Port Saint Lucie, put in the work, and had been showing spurts of greatness in this early season. After a big night Tuesday, I was hoping to see some more consistency out of him. Just two games later he's likely out for the year. Of course he is.
Sigh.
We hope you'll join us for the 2nd annual T7L7K! The inaugural event far exceeded our expectations and we know 2025 will be even greater. Run (or walk) with us through Flushing Meadows Corona Park, up to the Shea Stadium base paths, and back.
