MPOTD: AGITA SINCE 1981
Nobody said being a Mets fan was gonna be easy. If they did, they're a stone cold liar. Odds are if you're a Mets fan, you come from a family of orange and blue loyalists, and you were given no choice. I guess that goes for pretty much every fan base though. You're either born in, or grow to love the team for one reason or another down the road.
My buddy Dave runs the IG account @DavesMetsDugout and his thing is posting random custom jerseys he sees at the games. Back in August he came across AGITA SINCE 1981 and I think most of us can relate.
If you were born in 1981, odds are you have almost no memory of the '86 title. I was born in 1980, and have no recollection of it. I lived that series through repeats of A Year To Remember on VHS. If you haven't seen it yet, put aside an hour and click that link.
