This seems to be all she wrote for TC. Just two games left in his Mets tenure that will total 1,134 over seven years. The most for any manager in a Mets uniform.
Lately, Terry has been getting dragged through the mud. I'm not a fan of kicking someone when they're down, and that's been going on these last few days. Anonymous players and sources chirping to the press when he's already got one foot out the door. Weak, but unfortunately seems to be the norm when guys are shipping out around here.
Say what you will about Terry, but at this point, it's unnecessary. What's done is done, and Jim Breuer put it pretty well in a Facebook video on Friday.
“They asked Terry to make a pizza, and they gave him chocolate and broccoli".
Not defending Terry and claiming he made all the best moves over the years, but half a time, he wasn’t playing with a full deck of cards.
Thanks for always being cool with T7LA, Terry. The above photo is from our very first away outing, at Wrigley Field on May 18, 2013, shot by Dan Reinhart. Pretty sure TC's exact words were, "What the heck are you guys doing here?". He learned rather quickly, and always gave us props when he could. We don't cheer for recognition, but it was nice to be appreciated from time to time. Thank you for that, TC.
Good luck down the road, Skip.
