I'm usually on top of stuff like this, but it took me 2 years to finally look up the artist of this great Mr. Met piece in Brooklyn at The Bushwick Collective. L'Amour Suprim sprayed this over a couple days back in October of 2015 during the Mets run to the World Series. Maybe Mr. Mets face falling off foreshadowed how the season would end a week later.
I appreciate the technique and time it takes to pull off a large piece like this, and I'm glad that for the most part they're left untouched by other artists. Not sure how often Bushwick Collective rotates pieces, but if you're in the area, you should go check it out.
Give @lamoursupreme a follow and check out the thousands of photos in his ever growing portfolio.
We'll be spending Opening Weekend in Houston! Hopefully you'll be one of the 1,300 Mets fans kicking the season off with us in Texas! The Astros didn't have enough availability to fit us for Opening Day, so we locked up 1,300 tickets to game 2 of the season on March 29th.
