After an exciting World Series, the book is finally closed on the 2017 season. The Astros took home the hardware for the first time in franchise history, and Beltran finally got his ring after two decades in the bigs. Congrats. As long as it wasn't the Yankees or Nationals, I didn't really care much either way. Just wanted to watch an entertaining postseason, and that it was.
Anyway, on to more important business. NEXT YEAR. Just 147 days until the season opener at Citi, and I'm surely not the only one who will be counting the days. Right now the Mets are 20/1 odds to win it all, but take that with a grain of salt. Time will tell.

My long time buddy Marino posted the above photo with his daughter in front of this NEXT YEAR IS GONNA BE OUR YEAR billboard on Canal & 6th Ave.
Blue/orange, season is over, high hopes for next year... one would think it may be from the Mets even without the branding. I reached out to a team connect to ask if it's theirs, "It is not" was the reply. Did some digging and it's actually from artist and big Mets fan, @baronvonfancy. Not sure the motivation to pay for it, or what it's promoting besides a kick ass 2018, but it's pretty awesome.
Check out his very impressive Wikipedia page, and while you're at it, give his joint account @coupleofmets a follow. LGM 2018!
We'll be spending Opening Weekend in Houston! Hopefully you'll be one of the 1,300 Mets fans kicking the season off with us in Texas! The Astros didn't have enough availability to fit us for Opening Day, so we locked up 1,300 tickets to game 2 of the season on March 29th.
