It's pretty apparent Jose would love to stay with the Mets. As a Marlin, Blue Jay and Rockie, Jose kept a home on Long Island. Even while playing for the other guys, he'd often post on social media about his love for not only NY, but his first team.
The Mets are clearly on Jose's mind, and it's not a long-shot that the team will bring him back. It's still not clear what they'll do a 2B, but Carig says Jose's the fallback option, and he obviously is holding out hope for a return.
Been saying this for awhile. A reunion with Reyes is most certainly in play. Alderson said as much today. https://t.co/E428PxrXch

I got a text last night from my girl MJ with a screenshot of Jose's snap wearing last years Run Run Reyes ugly sweatshirt. If you wear a 3XL or 4XL, you're still in luck. The 7 Line does have a Snapchat account, but I never look at it. I often let friends run it at our outings, and to be honest I'm pretty clueless on how to even use it. I should probably get on that, or just hire some 16 year old intern to come teach me.
Since I didn't see anything on IG or Twitter, I text Jose about it. He ran in to an aspiring ballplayer name Kyle McLaughlin (@kglock27) at a local gym and sent me the link to his photo.
I wouldn't have the moxie to pull off wearing a shirt with my own name or face on it. More power to anyone who can.
We're kicking the season off in Houston with The 7 Line Army on Saturday March 29th at Daikin Park. Start your day off on a positive foot with this fun run (or walk) 5K!
Pick one Mets game per week during the entire 2025 Mets season and run or walk during it from the first pitch until the final out. Challenge yourself!
Meet up with The 7 Line Army at Pitch 25 before heading in to the game on March 29th! This venue is a couple block from the ballpark and they've put together an amazin' deal for our crew.
