As you probably know by now, we're not hitting the Bronx this year for the Subway Series. Instead, we'll be at Mulcahy's for a viewing party and "town hall" style meeting.
The party will kick off the week, before we head to Citi Field for the games on Wednesday and Thursday.
Before the game Monday game, we'll be holding our 2nd annual T7LA meeting. We had planned to have it during the All Star break, but the timing just didn't work out. Now, we can kill two birds with one stone.
What's the meeting about? We like to sit down with the crew and chat about the group. Everyone is encourage to speak up to voice any questions, concerns, or complaints. We'll do a little intro, chat about how we think the season is going, what we can do to improve, and start the ball rolling for next year. We'll also discuss where we're heading on the road next season, what we can do to beef up the excursions... pretty much anything and everything will be on the table. We also toyed with the idea of starting a committee. This will be discussed as well. If you're part of the crew, you're encouraged to make it. We're only as strong as our base.
Mulcahy's in Wantagh is a legendary Long Island spot and was home to The 7 Line Army's Sports Illustrated documentary party back in March. Tim Murray's family owns the joint, and he's also a season ticket member in our crew.
We worked with Tim on this event and he offered up some great drink specials. $3.50 Bud Lights and $5 draft beers. Of course the kitchen will be open, so you'll be able to grab food throughout the game.
We'll be tossing out free swag each time the Mets score some runs. The bar is huge with plenty of seating, loads of TV's and the sound will be on. Come hang with the crew, cheer on our Mets and have a fun time with a bunch of like minded fans.
Hope you'll make it.
21+ to drink. Underage allowed if accompanied by parent.
We're heading back to Port Saint Lucie to kick off the 2025 season! Join The 7 Line Army on Saturday, February 22nd to watch the New York Mets take on the Houston Astros at Clover Park for Spring Training Opening Day.
