There's light at the end of the tunnel for The 7 Line Army. Like Andy Dufresne in Shawshank, we've crawled through a mile of shit in the pursuit of freedom. We're not there yet, but we're getting closer.
Pitchers and catchers reported to camp last week. Position players arrived this week. Hell, it's going to be 45 degrees and sunny on Wednesday! I even have a vaccine appointment on March 5.
Things are looking up!
While I was able to find a time slot at Aqueduct race track, more and more people are taking the first step at getting their life back at Citi Field. The New York State vaccine megacenter is now offering 24-hour vaccines. A friend of The 7 Line just got their vaccine at 2:30 am. I don't think McFaddens even stays open that late.
The 7 Line Army Member, George Ho, said securing an appointment felt like winning the lottery. "Citi Field was obviously my preferred site. I was checking every day and an appointment popped up on my birthday! Just one step closer to seeing friends and being back home at the ballpark."

If you're a Mets fan, it has to be such a cool feeling to get your vaccine at Citi Field. No one likes to get poked with a needle. The pain is easier to manage when you're glancing at Citi Field knowing the joy this shot will soon bring you at the very same spot. If it were me, I think I would figure out a way to mark that spot in the parking lot and return there for a pregame beer my first time back.
Tonight marks the return of sporting events with crowds in New York City. The Knicks and Nets will each welcome fans back. After nearly a year without crowds in New York, even with limited capacity, there's no doubt those in attendance will sound boisterous at MSG and the Barclays. I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about it.
I can't wait to watch the Knicks to get a glimpse of MSG rocking. Let's f-ing go!
United we vaccinate, united we cheer? Eh, that tagline sucks. Don't use it, New York State. If you do get vaccinated at Citi Field, save your sticker. Seriously, it's cool. I'm jealous to be going to a different site after Darren showed me. Wear it like the badge of honor it is. That sticker might as well be a Citi Field seat saver.
Just get me back in the damn stadium already. I need it. We all need it. And we'll get there soon enough!
P.S.: If you're looking to book an appointment, I HIGHLY recommend following this NYC COVID Vaccine Appointment Twitter account. I couldn't find anything until a friend of mine passed it along. It generates opens in real time and tweets them out.

These are the most traditional ways to book an appointment.
