Over the last two weeks, we put out an open call for bloggers. We received an outpouring of applications, and through those, we chose 10 candidates to take a writing test. After careful consideration, we’ve landed on the three newest writers that will be coming on board the newly revamped T7L blog.
Let’s meet ‘em:
Tim Reilly
From: Babylon, Long Island.
Lives: Upper East Side
You Should Know: As a player growing up, I tried to emulate Edgardo Alfonzo's approach at the plate.
My mother was pregnant with me for the duration of the 1986 season. So while I've never actually seen the Mets win the World Series, she says I attended a few crucial games along the way. My last game at Shea Stadium was with my dad, and David Wright hit a walk-off home run. What more could a fan ask for?

Nick Giacone
From: Rockville Centre, Long Island
Lives: Astoria, NY
You Should Know: I appeared on the Opening Day banner giveaway for the 2015 season, as well as in an ad at the West 4th Street subway station.
My Mets fan highlights include attending the Game 3 victory in the 2000 World Series, R.A. Dickey's 20th win in 2012, and every postseason game in 2015. The Mets will always be a part of my identity, and I cherish every moment I get to watch them with friends and family.

Allie Ditkowich
From: Lynbrook, NY
You Should Know: I was Josh Satin's eyebrows' biggest fan #LoyalTilTheLastWax (Editor’s note: You gotta respect a strong eyebrow. – Brian)
I'm an expert at Citi Field cuisine, and I try to infuse humor into even the most absurd Mets situations (if you don't laugh, you'll cry, right?). I'm still not over Big Sexy leaving.

To all of those who applied, we truly appreciate you reaching out, and thanks for your continued support.
Give the new team a follow on Twitter, and stay tuned for their contributions.
We hope you'll join us for the 2nd annual T7L7K! The inaugural event far exceeded our expectations and we know 2025 will be even greater. Run (or walk) with us through Flushing Meadows Corona Park, up to the Shea Stadium base paths, and back.
