MPOTD: Thank You, Veterans

MPOTD: Thank You, Veterans

Tug McGraw served his country. Here he is -- in uniform -- at Shea Stadium. #Mets

I feel like Veterans Day doesn't get nearly enough attention. Is it because it's not in the summer, and odds are you're not BBQing or hitting a party today?

The Mets do a great job saluting a military member during each game.

I came across this awesome IG account that gives a Mets history lesson each day. Not sure who runs @MetsRewind, but it's pretty awesome.

Mets legend Tug "Ya Gotta Believe" McGraw was a Marine, as was Hall of Famer Tom Seaver. It's also common knowledge that our GM, Sandy Alderson, was a Marine as well. I couldn't track down an official list, but many Mets put our country’s uniforms before their orange-and-blue one.

Thank you to all veterans, not just today, but every day.
